Hi , yes I’m going through a similar situation. Mines is even more to get over because we are still in the same household . He had sex with a few females and admitted it after I found the condoms . It’s so hurtful ..I’m staying in his place and I have no where else to go so it’s so much tension around the house and we barely talk to each other.Sometimes I don’t know when he’s home or not . I just pray everyday that things get better and I can get out this situation

hey buttercup, up till a month ago i was in a similar situation. i had caught my emotionally abusive boyfriend cheating on me and guess what, this man gave me an explanation for it. i was devastated just as you are. confused and hurt. couldn't decide possibly whether to move on or not and also if yes, HOW? please understand that this person is going to keep cheating on you. and he has been doing this since times immemorial, almost in every relationship before you. so, the problem is not with you. it is with him. he is the bad guy. he has hurt you once and he won't think twice before hurting you again. i know it can be hard to let go of a relationship which seemed to have so much potential in the beginning and i am sure that there are times when he love-bombs you too. but please remember that the things he has done to hurt you are very much REAL too. he will NOT stop. before this guy starts hurting you physically, GET OUT! There are plenty of good men in this world who will treat you the way you want and deserve. please don't let yourself be stuck in this vicious cycle. this guy i am sure is very charming and everytime he apologizes for something he did wrong, it seems genuine. it is NOT. it is a tactic to keep you enslaved. my suggestion- BE STRONG AND RUN!

Buttercup74, you both aren't married and you are well in your rights to walk away. Has he reached out to explain himself? Is he devastated losing you? Was a 1 time thing? If you've both been good to each other and he is truly remorseful, go to marriage/relationship counselling to see if it's worth working it out. Not for him, but to see if it's worth it for yourself. I'm going through something similar but it's obvious my wife has moved on, I wish I had the opportunity to go to counselling.

Thank for listening. He is very remorseful. We both cried together days at a time. We both are in counseling. It hurt me deep in my soul I forgave him but the trust is gone.
