Why would he feel the need to send you that email?

Think about what sort of person would do something so hurtful. It may hurt but it sounds like you're better off without him.

Actually, my inclination would be to tell him to "suck it", but I suppose that's not the mature way to handle it.

We had exchanged a few emails before this. But the gf thing came out of the blue. He always does things like this to me. Out of the blue stuff. This is not surprising but still hurtful.

I bet this was hurtful and sorry you had to go through this.
You really need to go No Contact. He is letting you know he has moved on and you should too.

I just found out today my ex has a new girlfriend. I'm devastated and I dont get it, I feel like I've been holding on to hope that we d get back together, without realizing i had that hope or that little shred of hope....I did it to myself I looked him up saw a comment clicked and sure enough was his girlfriend, she s skinnier than me she looks really young and worst of all they re completely fucking happy!!!! Everything came flooding back its like the break up all over again..........its been almost a year, idk why it still hurts so much. I keep thinking of other times in life when things seemed awful and like there was no end in sight and how now I can look back and see I've healed or I'm doing better...........I wish I could fast forward to that point now......I hate that he still has such a hold on my heart..........and worst of all I let him.
