Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

Sadly to say, heart's strings can be broken. Yet, I would not leave tracks of tears on my face for this one. You are smart to breakup. But keep your strides at a steady pace. That's just the way it goes...you move on...time heals. Keep in touch with active support too. It may help you to know that the silly behavior of this cheater will be his doom. No girl wants a guy who never really wants them. Believe it, he will never score. Nothing trustworthy is in him. What could it be that you see in him now? You are no fool...move ahead with that victorious feeling of slapping his memory to the curb. You are better than him. You can look for better now. Listen to your wise mind, not the foolish part of a desperate heart. I know the feeling myself, all too well, unfortunately.
Best to you and many warm hugs...:-)
How long has it been since you have broken up? One of the things that I found that worked for me was journaling. I would write in a journal all of my thoughts and feelings and it was at this time, my emotional healing started to begin. I would cry, write down my feelings, frustrations, etc. In the beginning I would write daily. Then as time went on it was weekly, monthly, and not at all. As I would read back through my journal, I could see just how far I had come through the healing process.
Have you tried writing down a pros & cons list for the relationship? I would write what was good about the relationship and then I would write what was bad about the relationship. This showed me in black & white that I had made the right decision.
Do you have any hobbies? Are you a member of any clubs? Do you have a good support group around you? Family, friends, local church family, Pastor and/or counselor who can work through all of this with you?
Have you thought about volunteering? I have often found that when I volunteered and helped others that it helped me too. It gave me that time away from myself to start moving forward.
I know it hurts. As my mom used to say "This too shall pass." She was right. It takes some time, as you heal, you will begin to move forward. You are worth soooo much more!!!! Take it one day at a time and sometimes one moment at a time. You will get through this!!
