My focus and concern would be on the children. My stance is a little harsh on this, which more than likely stems from my childhood. Had my wife and I not reconciled, I would have dated, but NEVER around my children, as far as they would know, I would have turned into a priest.
There's a lot of solice that a child can get from knowing Mommy isn't looking to replace their previous relationship that they had with their Father, and that they have now become the sole focus in a parents life.
Sorry for being offroad on this, but I have seen a million bastardized Brady Bunches that do nothing but drag the kids down.
TD66... the kids are our main concern on both sides. It is because of this that we haven't spent a lot of time together physically. Our weekends with our kids are opposite & neither of us want to involve them until we are sure this might go somewhere.
My ex has been with his new GF pretty much since we split up & I, in no way, want to put our child in that position X2 although she thinks the world of the OW.She knows about Danny & knows we are friends because we have talked on the phone a few times when she has been close by & she wants us to be "girlfriend & boyfriend" (her words) but I have explained to her that we are just friends for now & maybe someday, we may be that but I also enforce that it is her that is the most important person to me.
Anyways... bottom line is I really, really care for him & am just feeling a bit of panic at the prospect. I'm sure part of that is because of my daughter but his 3 as well... I dont want to hurt anyone in the mix. BUT, I am so enjoying the feelings again!! :)
i'm just so dam happy for ya!
