Just found this forum, I am having a breakdown and can't cope anymore.

Been married for 27 years, such a long story but my husband badmouthed me to anyone who would listen...I had no idea he was doing this but does explain why previously friendly people stopped talking to me....husband would say he had no idea why!!

I suffer from Major Depression and for years thought I was...and being told I was...imagining or blowing things out of proportion when in fact my husband was doing these things! He is very cruel. Turned his back on me, told me on my birthday I was not worth anything...

In December our rental lease was going to be up so I contacted the landlord and got just myself on the new lease and told my husband to leave.

I went in to a debilitating depression for 5 months, could not function.

I tried....knowing it was probably useless...to ask my husband for an uncontested marriage...nope!

Daughter is grown and we don't own a house so why not.

I was in a severe car accident 4 years ago and received a good settlement and he wants it, he also told me he has an interest and is entitled to some of my mother's money....she has Alzheimers and is in a nursing home...of course he can't touch my mother's money but I am beyond upset and cry all the time.

I am so afraid to file for divorce, I bought myself a car with my settlement as I needed one and he says it has to be sold and the money split in a divorce.

I went to see an attorney... I live in Colorado..and she said just give him some of the money to make him go away...I am so upset and am not going to do that.

Why is he not filing for divorce? He is waiting for my mother to die and ask for some of the money:(

I want to be rid of him but am afraid of court and what a Judge will say. 

I am not working, I have a neck and shoulder injury, the shoulder needs surgery, also have an unhealed fractured foot. (Won't heal fully) I have no insurance so pay out of pocket.

I don't want to wake up anymore, I want a life but it's too hard. 

This man loves hurting me.
