Have you ever noticed that when something good is going on in your life there is always something bad going along to knock you down a peg or two?
My relationship that I just started over 3 months ago is going awesome. Slightly before Christmas the last Grandma that is still alive went into the hospital. She is having a rough time and she will probably pass in the next few days. My heart is saddened by this and I feel as though I did something wrong. I use to be good about calling her but I haven't talked to her in a few months. She is 12 hours away from me and it is hard to go and visit her as well.
Anyway, my prayers are that she will rebound and survive this but it doesn't sound good. He has already had one heart attack and she passed away (they brought her back).
I guess that I knew that this day would come but it is still upsetting. My GF was with me yesterday when I found out that she was getting worse and she was so helpful and sweet.
The only thing that I can think to do is just concentrate on what is going right in my life and push forward. I will pray for my Grandmother and hope for the best. It is so easy to focus on negatives that you miss the positive stuff going on. I have done this before and I don't want to allow this to happen again.

Thank goodness you were with J when you found out. Make sure you let her be supportive. Sometimes we try to keep that stuff from the important person in our life. I get the feeling, she would want to be there for you.
My Dad, this is his Mom, is taking this really hard. He drove out there to help out. He has always been close to her and this is really hard on him :(.
And yes usually when something good seems to be happening to you, something comes along bad to seem to disrupt it. This is what happens in life, goods and bads, ups and downs.
Cherish the goods, grieve the bads.

Maybe she will make it through this though. If so, I plan to call her more frequently.
