HATING THE ANNIVERSARIES

Today would have been 24 yrs married. Incredible but true. I am sure he is not even thinking this like I am. He moved on with his life pretty well and pretty fast. Since he left me in 2010 and divorced me in 2011 I still hate the anniversaries and certain holidays that remind me of how WE use to spend them. No big deal nothing so great to remember but still....
Anybody going thru this even after a long time of separation?

I'm not divorced yet. Been separated since Nov 2011 - we would have been married 14 years next Monday May 28th. One of the happiest days of my life, besides the days I gave birth to my 2 children. Now will be one of the most miserable day of my life. This year, I hope he regrets what he did. Especially since his new life with his new girlfriend is "not so good" and she is moving out a week later - after school ends. At least that is the plan as of today. So how will I feel - upside down.

Wow, May seems to be our month for anniversaries, I guess! LIke you, cm, my wedding day was one of the happiest days of my life. I'm going to try to stay busy and not think about it as best I can...not sure if that's the best approach or not, but this is a very busy week for me anyway, so I'm just going with it...

rb, especially afer so many years of being married, I can certainly understand why, even after some time, the anniversaries are still difficult. I imagine it gets somewhat easier with more time...at least, I hope.

I guess we women are the ones that think about dates like that. Men dont give it a second thought especially once they are done with you
