I guess what I'm saying is that you can make your own happy endings. I was miserable in my marriage (verbally abusive and controlling spouse) and now I have my own life that's peace and great!
Maybe someday I'll hook up with another partner and maybe I won't - I'm happy as I am.
Lynne
Heave, I am glad to see I am not the only one who thougt that. LMAO
Back to the question. I feel the same way Lynne does. I do not know if I will end up with a partner, or not. I just hope to have a full life.
I was heartbroken, miserable, and cried everyday.
Now I feel amazing, rebuilding my life and I smile and laugh everyday. I still feel sad, angry and alone sometimes, but it doesn't consume me.
I'm partially disabled....but that isn't holding me down. I just started back to school to become a "domestic violence counselor" and just got my first "A" on my first assignment.
If the moron wants to drag the divorce out...so be it...my life is moving on and in a very positive way.
My stbx is becoming a very distant memory....making new and better ones :)
You have to make your life happen, but you can't do that hanging onto what use to be or what might have been. If I can do it,anyone can.
I know. I can't help it. I have always been a hopeless romantic. I DIDN'T feel like that about my husband, though. Why did I marry him? I really don't know! But I wouldn't trade my amazing little girl for anything!
