Well, John, there's a reason I can't quit DS.

When I was going through my separation and divorce, DS was, literally, a lifesaver. People were open...honest...didn't mind sharing opinions or letting me vent/rant/complain/etc. This was a place of great solace for me during an incredibly lonely-feeling time.

Nowadays, I find I still need DS. Case-in-point, going on about my ex's remarriage. Things happen...we walk fine, and stumble a little, but hell...there's always someone on here that will reach down and help ya right back up.

I'm glad you found this site, and I hope it continues to be a source of strength for you :)

I too have found it a lifesaver

I find it great as well. Occasionally, you get the bitter person who thinks that men are the bane of their existence because of one or a few.

One person actually said that if you can't keep your woman, it's your fault.

It's great. I actually found myself returning to normal life by participating on here. When I had surgery and didn't come here, i could see the downward change in my life.

Make the most of this site, people are supportive and you will never feel alone or that your story is unique. It works.

There WILL be those you simply do not mesh with, but that's the way if the world. I never block anyone as though they might annoy the SHIT out of me in one post, they spout the wisdom of Buddha somewhere else.

At the core we're all connected, and in ways that some might think are fantastical.

Sometimes I wonder if times of emotional stress and duress give us a better glimpse of that deep and very fundamental connection...

I agree with you John. I feel like I have more support and even feel a bit of relief knowing that I can always come here to talk to someone and know that someone else in the world can relate to what I am going through. I hate to say that there is someone else in the world that suffers the same way because I hate to see or hear someone else suffering but after all this is part of life. Our challenge is to conquer and move on and never give in.

I find things that annoy the shit out of me teach me a lot more about myself than the things I agree with. ;-)

I too am glad I found this site, but honestly, I feel I haven't been of much help to anyone. I've read over a lot of my replies, and instead of helping, I turn it into how I can relate because of my own problems, then go on about those. There are times I feel like a big, fat burden to those here and those around me. Thanks you all for tolerating me so far.

Johnzilla, That is good to hear how helpful you are finding this site. I certainly have found this group a lifesaver during my times of pain, And I really agree with #8, sometimes during our times of pain when we are the most raw, we can connect with each other in a particularly profound way.

Don't worry Twilight, as you heal and get stronger, you will be able to offer your wisdom and compassion to others. Nobody here is a burden! Whatever you post, there is sure to be someone(s) who will relate and find it helpful!
