Although it was much briefer than I would have liked it to be, I got to meet Monkeyboy, Woobie, and SouthernfriedYank. They are awesome people.
I had just met up with a date when they rolled up. There is a long story behind that too. LOL. I would have liked to just met up with them and hang out instead.
Anyway, it was so cool to put some names with faces. Monkeyboy is cool, Southern looks like a true gent, and Woobs looks great too. Very cool stuff. Now I want to meet up with more people!!!!!!
It would have been cool to be at the meet-up tonight. Especially since another part of the whole weekend fell apart and over half of my fleet stayed in port.
None the less, I am stuck in St. Mary's River for another day. Wind conditions are HIGHLY unfavorable with winds 15-20 knots with gusts to 30 out of the north west (the very direction that I need to go which makes it suck even more. If the wind was South East it would have been much better.
I will still probably get my brains beat out on the way home on monday because the wind is still up but no gusts to 30. Looks like I will be flying the #3 with a reefed main to go home. Oh Joy!

But glad you got to meet DS folks!! Wait you met them, they were great, and then you blew them off? Tsk, tsk!!!
My fleet fell apart, I got Shanghaied, I got pelted by storms, stuck in port an extra day and had to burn a day of leave where I didn't want to burn it, didn't get to hang out with some really cool people, and just made a mess of those plans. UGH.
What do you people all have against Houston?
