I got a certified letter today, that my mom signed for. It was from the debt collector company that holds the mortgage. Guess what? His late fees, and final due by Jan 17 is a mere $19,500.00! YUP!! You read right! He hasnt paid the damn thing since October, and they are ready to foreclose. My lawyer knows this and we are doing lots to get my name off of that house.
I just thank GOD I got out when I did. And people say I am the bad guy!! He was putting his family in danger by not paying the bills all these years! This drives my crazy that he thinks he is right in evrything!
The truth is, I really am over him. I am glad I am gone from his life and he is totally gone from mine. What an ASS! So clueless!!

He was a shopaholic...but never paid the bills...we rarely had food in the fridge, no money for the kids.
He just keeps getting more credit and diggin himself deeper into debt. Me.. I am not working but managaing to pay my bills and the mortgage....and I live within my means. I go without.
I stopped working at the end of the marriage... no matter how much money I brought home, it was never enough, he would spend it before I could even see it.

my ex and i bought a house together a year ago. a month after we bought it she decided to take up with some other guy and basically dump the house and 30 years of payment (750$ a month!) on me. her resoning: she dont wanna live her, so she wont pay. BUT! if i should ever sell it, she wants HALF of the proceeds. her resoning: her credit helped buy it. ok, im sorry but that is crazy, and i would sooner let the bank have it back than pay for it myself and then give a bunch of money back to her after i sell it.
You say "his late fees." Did he own this house before you married him?
otherwise, they would be joint late fees.
