Yesterday at church our pastor started a series on freeing your mind. What we focus on, good or bad, is our future. It really spoke to me that "I" am the only thing I can change in this situation. If she truly does not love me anymore, I can not do anything about it, except treat her with respect and love her the way a wife should be loved. She may figure out that marriage simply has seasons of great love and seasons of unhappiness. Marriage is supposed to be that safe place you can weather the storms or at least I thought so. I am going to do my best to not dwell in so much anguish today, my best may not be enough today, but there is always tomorrow. We actually had a nice dinner last night, we had a busy weekend moving our business and she is trying to eat healthier so I made a great salad. We were able to actually carry on a normal conversation while we ate, our son was on a date, so it was just us. Right now I am just going to celebrate the small stuff. She said she loved me twice yesterday, my mind said it has no meaning but my heart felt better. I am going to instead take it as she is trying. One step in front of the other. In hope everyone has a positive day, we can do it!
