First night alone.

First night alone after breaking it up with my ex whom is a narcissist. My son is here with me so it’s not as bad. I am still going through all the emotions so it doesn’t make it easy. He lived with me for almost 2 years. I wanted a future with him, except for the past few months when I saw unhappy I really was and started to wake up. He would lash out over the smallest things and would cause me such anxiety all the time it was like I was always walking on eggshells. I know breaking up was the best thing to do, but it feels like a part of me is missing

I’m sorry you are going through this.
That is not fair to you to live that way. I believe that we should all be happy. Life is too short and precious to be miserable. It kills me to not have my wife with me but she is not happy with me...so she moved out last weekend....so here we sit.... wanting to be loved and happy yet our significant others don’t want it but yet we still seek after....why right?
I hope brighter and happier days lie ahead of you.

Sorry you are feeling sad about your breakup. The first few days and months are the hardest, You are fortunate to have your son with you. If he was a narcissist it is better for you and your son that he is not in your life anymore. You definitely have made the right decision. If he caused you anxiety or if you were afraid of him you are better off without him. Once that kind of treatment begins in any relationship it continues to worsen over time. You loved this person at one time and that is what you are missing. Your missing the intimacy and whatever else the two of you shared. Be strong, take care of yourself and your son.
