"I am not surprised when people leave, I am surprised when they stay"
I think we all make mistakes and bad choices but prolonging misery is a waste of our lives. As much as people hate that divorce rate is on the rise, sometimes we have to ask ourselves if we are staying because we don't want to add to the number of divorced people, if we are fearful, etc. In my opinion, marriage is a great thing but if people feel trapped or unhappy, staying just because we made vows seems like a trap and torture to me.
Don't even feel like your wife is cold, mean or whatever. No one truly knows what the other person feels and most of the time when one is unhappy, so is the other one. Everyone copes and reacts differently. I would say, try to part ways the most civil, respectful way possible.
Best wishes to you.
When in doubt, be the bigger person and part civilly and respectfully.
His lips kept moving but I couldnt hear him or speak because I was in such pain, shock,......pick a word...it wont describe what I felt. He broke every promise he ever made to me. Every vow...but still he says it was all my fault.
