Sossie, this won't help you any, but I'm in the same boat--we got the papers online from the county clerk's office, and my stbx has been in the process of filling them out. I guess it's different in every state, but luckily where I live, we shouldn't even need to go in front of a judge. We just fill out the papers, and sign and submit them for the judge's approval. The best part is, I don't think I'll even have to see my stbx in person to get all this done--which for me is a plus, since I feel so upset each time I see or hear from him.

P.S. a co-worker of mine did this process with her ex last year, and it apparently went very smoothly.

He came by my office (UGH) and I made three copies of the forms in case he screws them up and I kept a copy just to see how much work is involved. It doesn't appear to be that hard...Crossing fingers it will be easy...

yeah... now we even have convenience for a divorce. Can they make it any easier.

No disrespect sossie.. I'm sorry... I just find it funny how many things are built for convenience.. and divorces are no added to that list.
