Getting into therapy and a divorce support group is very important if you seriously want to figure out what's going on with you. There is a lot of details and circumstances that need to be looked at face-to-face. Listening to others, in a therapy setting, will also let you see other's experiences and perspectives.
I have heard it said that you shouldn't date others for at least 2 years after divorce, and in that time it is most important to learn what part you played in the problems, and correct those personal characteristics, too.
I still struggle and i am not dating Until I am healed
and also so is my heart. That might take me awhile
And yes we need to own our part and fix ourselves.
It takes 3 years after the divorce to normalize.
At year three You Have your own life and goals.
Could care less What the ex is doing or not doing
unless it impacts you or your children.
Many still struggle because the family is now a
fractured unit thats to be expected. The but is its
Not consuming you. Its part of your history and
Your Past its not about your future and you know
that, HUGS
