I told my dh on November 20th that I wanted a divorce. He exploded verbally and by the time he was done, I was in the fetal position on my bed crying with the covers over my head. He said that he would do anything to make this marriage work and he knew that this was his very last chance. We went to counceling with our Pastor who said that dh had some things to work on and would be in constant counceling. they have met probably 2 more times since then. I feel like it really does not matter that I am not happy, or that I do not want dh to touch me (although he does not listen, I guess it is his God given right), or that he does not interact with our boys. We do the same thing every night. He comes home, we eat dinner, he sits on the couch until 10:30 and then we go to bed. I feel dead and empty inside but feel like this is all there is to my life and all there will ever be. I want to feel passion and loved.
you are just as much a part of this relationship as your husband is. your voice should be heard. if its not, it wont matter how much work your husband does - because it will only be one sided.
if the church doesnt work, find low cost/sliding scale counseling. google it or look in the yellow pages.

It is not his God given right to just take advantage of you when you don't want him to. You have rights too. Believe me, I know this, I lived with this for far too many years. God does not expect you to just endure the pain and sadness.
