Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. Some support is better than none, right, NO…they’re toxic. Do you have a pastor, a church family, etc. to count on? Jesus, bless this man with your strength, your love, and your mercy! Restore this man and allow him to be whole again and allow him to triumph over his tribulations and transform him and his way of life. Bless his children as they will be going through tough times as well, keep them safe, mentally and physically Jesus, amen.
I agree that you should cut things out of your life if they are toxic. My problem is wondering if I am cutting too much. Or better yet if I am the cancer that is causing things to be toxic. Hence, everything is my fault. I dont know the answer, but I wonder.
I am trying to be the rock. When I moved out I have continued to pay all of the family bills, and then took on my own housing costs. I moved a half mile away to stay close and be able to keep the kids in school. I try to communicate with the wife about the kids but at a severe cost to my emotional health.
The people I needed in my life to help me through it are no longer here to give support. So I am essentially doing this on my own. I have made a few new friends, but they have come and gone. I cant really date since I am still married, and with keeping up two houses I am completely broke.
I hate the loneliness. I hate the fighting. I hate...
I read your story and I don't think I could do what you are doing now, what you are going through now.
I wish I could just take your work and pain away.
For me, when the pain is too great, I just try to get into the moment. Just focus on the thing I have to do right now and endure. There are many stories of people who went through stories almost as tough as yours and pulled through. Hold on, come to the boards here for help and stay safe. Love yourself. Find strength in your children. Count your blessings even if you don't feel blessed, it helps take the edge of at least for that moment.
Good Luck.
