Saw the movie. During the intial pain I may have been tempted to do it, but my real decision is no. I need to learn from those experiences and who I am today is the sum of all that has gone before.

I agree with novacandy. I wanted to erase so much at first, but now that some time has passed and I've actually had a few happy days without even worrying about him I know one day I will be able to remember some of the good things without feeling pain. I hope! :)

I have thought it would be nice at the beginning too. There are times when I wish I could erase the painful memories of this past year, but I guess they do help me measure my growth. I would like to erase the other woman. Does that count???? LOL

I love that film! I've thought about going through it. Think it depends on the day. The thing is, did it really work? Think about the end.

OMG one of my favorite movies and I watched it a million times right after the split.

When it first happened, yeah I would have done it. But I think I am with the general consensus here that we all need to use this opportunity for us to grow as individuals and let this troubled time make us strong and happier people in the end.

But it was a really good idea!!!

One of my favorite movies. I wouldnt do it because there are good memories to go along with the bad. We had a wonderful marriage for ten years and I wouldnt want to forget that.

I agree with learning from the experience... but if we could take the kids & the lessons & erase the pain... I would do it... & yes, Mamalyn.. I would erase the OW too... although I'm still kind of partial to the Hong Kong discussion a few days ago. ;)

I loved that movie too! A bit too weird for me to really imagine doing it, though.... Great movie though!

Loved the movie. Wouldn't do it. The whole thing shaped who I am.

But I would love to zap the stbx to another planet.

I have not seen the movie, but am aware of the premise. I try to never think of the past, as anything more than what it was, and the lessons I learned to go forward, so I would not erase the memories. If I erased him, I might also erase that snow woman, that my youngest daughter made, and then put a bathing suit on. I thought that was very cool. I still have the picture. Great premise though, and one that I have thought of before, when in pain.. Since I am in a better place now, My answer would be different than it was then.. Hugs, Kimmee
