How his mom and sister see me now is of little concern to me anyway. The only person I miss is my step daughter. She is 12 and will have to make her own decisions about her observations and treatment by her "parents" soon enough and I simply hope she remembers I love her and will always be here for her. Beyond that is of little concern to me.

Stay strong, you really don't care what people think or so.
I am in a similar situation but I think it's his issue, not mine !
I've learned to shrug off a lot of crap but that is what irritates me the most.
He can say anything he likes because I know the truth. Those people he is crying to don't know me, will never know me so why should I care. The few people who do know me know the truth.
I know his Dad and his dad's wife like me, but I am sure that they will like the new girl too. From all accounts, she is a good person, hard working and she loves him so there is probably not much to not like about the new woman.
They are his family, so at the end of the day, it does not really matter what they think of me. I know the truth and if my ex ever decides to face it; he does too.
Hugs.
And, if she does, it's her loss as much or more than mine...
And, I also agree with gal27... and you know the truth so it doesn't really matter what they think...
It is nice to know that they'd really like us to be back together, but their most important thing is that I end up happy no matter what happens.
