Sounds like a soap opera, no?
First, the fact that I am writing about this, and not about how I can't get out of bed, how I'm having suicidal ideation all the time, how I feel so worthless, etc., is a very good thing, because I can and do get out of bed, I haven't had ideation in a while, and I'm feeling a bit of self worth.
Nonetheless, I have a suspicion that the elementary school principal may be having some kind of relationship with my ex, who isn't quite legally my ex yet (no fault state - so it doesn't matter). For months I've been telling friends that I wish my ex would just get laid, because it would likely do her some good, given how uptight she is. And I know nothing for sure - just been snooping on social media, which is a shitty thing to do - there's nothing good that can come of it - just people that used to be part of my life who aren't anymore, and that just leads me to feel more like an outsider, more loss of identity, etc. But if true, I'm feeling defeated and depressed like I haven't felt in a while. I know I shouldn't care, I know I shouldn't even bother looking, and I really do wish the best for her, if for no other reason than my kids deserve a healthy and happy mom. But right now it feels devastating.

If you wanted her to go off with someone, why are you devastated? Unless you really didn't.
If you hate your children, then by all means get divorced.
If you want your children broken and screwed up like the rest of the basterd generation, then stop wining and get to work with the mother of your children to fix what you both have screwed up. The children need to see the only people that protect them aren't crazy selfish stupid.
If neither of you is from a divorce homes then you need to talk to one of your many close friends that are and find out what your about to do to your children, especially every holiday etc..etc.....
Making such type wish suggests to me that you have no respect for and, that you fail to love your wife, would that be because you fail to love yourself perhaps? It is impossible to properly love another if you fail to properly love yourself, food for thought.
It sounds to me that you have pushed your wife away and you are now complaining about it, you can have it both ways then? Here's the likelihood, your wife isn't cheating at all, it is all a figment of your warped imagination.
