Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
You WILL get through this, as we all have. One minute at a time if that's what it takes.
Sending hugs and love. You are in my prayers.
I'm so, so sorry for your pain, sending you hugs and prayers. I promise you it does get better, until then come here to vent and share, we are here for you!!!!!
You can and will get through this. Love yourself in any way that you can. You and the rest of us will get through our pain and we will come up on another side.
I know it's difficult to grasp this now, but there is a better place, and you will get there.
Remember to always look to the light--whatever it is for you--look at it. If it's prayer, or art, or dance, or music, look at it, create it listen to it. Be it. Write your sorrows in a journal.
Be with friends and family, even if you don't want to, spend time with them for a little while.
On the other side of the storm is new sunshine, new laughter, new learning. Wait out the storm of the heart and the heart of the storm. You are exactly where you're supposed to be now, no matter how much it hurts.
Here is a poem by Rumi that has helped me:
The Guest House
by Jalal al-Din Rumi
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
TAKE CARE OF YOU, HEARTSPAIN. WITH TIME YOU WILL CALL YOURSELF HEARTSJOY.
Sending you a gentle hug.
I feel your pain ... But this says more about your soon to be x, than yourself. (Heart less)
You definitely deserve better than this. Better days ahead, ... For both of us.
With deep sympathy, TCB
I'm so sorry. Christmas was awfully rough here too, a pivotal time for me in accepting that my estranged husband was never coming back. You will get through this!
I truly have no idea, she broke my heart by leaving. 6 months has passed and I still wish she would come back. My story is in my other posts and journal entries.
I am not an alcoholic, drug user, not an abusive relationship, she just decided one day she wanted out and wanted to be on her own...
