Well where do I start?
Yes, my spouse was abusive and cheated multiple times (I'm over all that and him.) As of today I'm working on year 3 of my divorce. Yes three years in court. I am so in debt I can't afford to sneeze.
I helped my husband with our business, a medical practice. In three years he has hid, sold, destroyed, and given away all our marital assets. Further, he has had me evicted from our marital home, and destroyed my credit. My health isn't great, I'm not able to keep a full time job (renal failure...boss doesn't like it when you change colors and take time off for hospital visits)
My problem is with the judge. My attorney has put the fifth motion in front of her in regards to my stbx actions, she has ignored or denied all of them. My husband decided to stop paying spousal support months ago...the judge does nothing. My husband calls me a 'dirty whore' in court, the judge does nothing. I've been to court 38 times for this divorce (we have no property or children together.) Let me also throw in a little of the judges actions: On the very first divorce hearing the judge looked at me, before I said one word, and said: 'you're not on a money train.' (I never said one word to the judge or anyone at anytime) She said to me at meeting number 37: 'GET A JOB.' and I tried to tell her I have renal failure, and she wouldn't hear it. She allows my husband to scream at me during the trials (i've never said one word.ever.) The judge took my crappy old car and gave it to him (he has 6 new cars.) I had to walk in the snow to get to my doctors appointments. I've asked my attorney to have the judge recused...she won't do it (i think its because she has other cases in front of the judge in question.)
Anybody have a suggestion? I no longer know what to do. I should add that I live in Queens NY (city full of corruption.)

I would remind your attorney that you're the one paying him to handle your best interests in the case and if he won't do anything because of his worry about other clients that you will find an attorney that will address your issues with the judge's demeanor and actions.

Perhaps I should just write the supervising judge myself. I'll tell ya, I've looked at this judges reviews online...and I'm scared, because it's not good.

you need to stay the course,
watch your actions and appear to be totally compliant
with the judges orders.
why not look for a job, get a job or whatever,
you may just get fired and give proof to the judge.
you should appear to acquiesce to the judges wishes.
appear to thank them for their advice but somehow someway
you are still unable to provide for yourself and need monetary
compensation.
You don't say how long you were married.
was there a prenup??
did you build the business together??
some divorces take a long time and just looking for the negative and reading the judges approval ratings is not going to change that.
stay strong think positive and try to make plans for your future and how you will survive and live.

I have been married 9 years, (three of the nine in court.) No Prenup. And yes, we built the business together.
Good thinking New, even if I get fired from a job for missing (or changing colors) at least I'm trying... I'll take that advice :) ty.
