A safe place to vent and share. They even have you
Sign something.

It can be a little religious, just get over that Part and
you will be alright. Many that attend Are religious.

Guess what we were all there for The same reasons.
Most were there for infidelity, Some with spouses abuse
and addiction issues not that they address that. Basically
we all pull our pants On the same way. Religious or not.

It cost $25 donation and you get a workbook, just bring
The workbook to the next sesson. That all i did, they never
even charged me Again.

Its being with others going thru the same things, you learn
About grieving and get help with divorce related issues.

based on bruce fishers book and you rebuild yourself
up after and during the Divorce. I think the cost is $300
and its not available in all areas. Sounds like a great

I have not gone, but also heard great things about the program. Others have asked the same as you and were told it is fine to start in the middle. You can always go back and do what you missed later (((HUGS)))

I think you should give it a try. They let you go to one visit just to see how it is and to see if it will suit you. You do not have to do anything but listen. It was a great help to me. I met some awesome people and keep in contact with them.

I first heard about DC on this website back in 2014.
Divorce care did as much for me as my alanon had.
I definitely got more spiritual and learned to trust
God again.

I went to DC many times. They don't kick you out.
Many only go only once, i think it depends on your
life And how bad things had gotten and how much
ongoing help and support you still need.

Each group and facilitator were a little different too,

There's no standing up and telling your story. It's more or less group discussion usually led by someone. When I went there were 6 or 7 of us there. The program has a religious theme, but the group I went to was welcoming of me, an atheist. That varies per group though. Actually just like any group of people, they change character with the group and over time.

And yes, if you keep going they ask if you order a book. No pressure for anything beyond that.

I ended up quitting because I didn't have the time or babysitters.

I am getting ready to start the 13 week program in April. I feel I really need it, have been going to alanon, but many people there are married. I need some additional support. I am looking forward to starting the program. Good luck to you.

I went thru the 13 sessions three times. Each time I went thru the sessions I was at a different stage of the divorce. Each session is a stand alone session on a different topic. You can join any time and not feel lost.
