Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
As hard as it was, I decided to use those weekends to get as much done as possible and to get as much sleep as possible! I wanted to be rested for up for them when it was my time and to have most of my errands done so we could have fun together. Several years have passed since those early days, and now their dad lives in a different state. I have to say goodbye to them for the entire summer, which is a whole new experience ...
I hope you can find what works for you and your son. I will definitely pray for you, that God will help you through everything. Do you have any other support like a church or counselor?
I am praying that we can get to a point where we can be friendly and co-parent on good terms. I am trying and do my best but my ex continues to be very hard me on and turns everything into an argument at this point. Which is not good for our son. Its been almost a year since i left and nothing has changed between our relationship.
Another thing that helped me was going to a Divorce Care group at a church nearby. Have you heard of them? If you go to their website - www.divorcecare.org - you can put in your zip code and find a group near you. I think I remember a chapter in the workbook on communicating with your former spouse about parenting issues and other things.
Sounds like you're doing good things - hang in there and keep doing the best you can. God will do all the things you can't and way more than we can imagine!
