Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Try to think of it like this: you parked your car in a parking lot, got out and started walking away, then saw an 18 wheeler coming at your car full speed. That truck demolished your car, pieces went flying everywhere, all that's left is burning and smoking parts. You realize right away a couple of things:
-you had no say in your car being smashed
-there is no way this car can be salvaged
-wait - you're ok, you're unhurt and you still can walk and talk
-you're in total shock, but you know you have to do a lot of things to resolve this issue
-you call people - the police, your auto insurance provider, the car rental people, family or friends
If only breakups could be resolved so easily. The heart is stubborn.
Blessings to you and your husband and children. I pray for healing and reconciliation for you and your husband.
I'm very sorry for all that has happened to you. And your family. You did the right thing. But now ask yourself the question I just asked. And ask yourself if you think any response would make all the damage go away. And close your eyes and repeat each time the urge comes on.
Have confidence in yourself. You'll be fine. Remember that you and your family need you even more than ever now. Hang in there. Keep us posted.
You know you will not tolerate what he did but that doesn't mean you guys didn't click on some level.
You miss that click. Sorry.
Hold on. Breathe through the missing the click.
