I never knew there where so many couples out there. Now that I am no longer a part of a couple thats all I see. Even in the supermarket, couples are shopping together, since when did this happen. I can't get away from the fact that I am now not part of a couple. It is hard to see this and knowing that I am by myself.

You'll notice it more now in the early stages of the separation/divorce....now I hardly pay attention to other people wether or not they are part of a couple.....but yes for while that was like I felt I was the only single...but after a while that feeling passes!

Same here. Couples and 'perfect families'. (I know it isn't reality...)
But, yes, I agree Rose... I equate it with when you buy a car. All of a sudden, you notice so many of your vehicle on the road, never having before.

You're not alone. None of us are. We just have to get thru this.

Yes, and I've also noticed that 99% of songs on the radio are about undying love or breakups.

I noticed them myself now, when I never did before. It is just a part of recognizing that we are not at present, but that does not mean it will be this way always:-) Hugs, Kimmee

I play a game with it. "guess what will break them up". Sounds mean but let's face it..Love doesn't last.

I think that while we notice more when we are not actually part of a "couples" status, we are not really really alone, we have our friends, our families and our pets. Keep in mind you are always a part of something. For those of you who are worried or depressed about V-Day, this might help: I believe Valentine's day is a day of Love, Period! Not necessarily the romantic holiday we as a society make it. I enjoy just telling my family and friends Happy V-day! By having a day devoted to the concept of Love means we are doing God's will which is to love others!

They are everywhere....I noticed couples more soon upon my separation...and then again when my divorce was final...now I don't see them as much anymore. Once we divorce or break up with someone the couples appear. I used to watch womens' hands and see wedding rings. I saw them ALL over the place and I was sad. Now I may be immune. I am to the point that I don't care anymore.
Now: I see singles everywhere...and there's alot of us out there!!!!
