Unfortunately, you are feeling some of the most difficult, bone crushing feelings a human can go through.
There are three things I BEG you to keep in the front of your mind:
1. These horrible feelings are temporary and they will get much better in time.
2. The best way for you to start to feel better right now is to help someone else. It can be anyone and anything. The best way to help yourself is to help someone else. That is not an opinion but a fact.
3. Whatever you give attention to grows. Try to consciously focus on positive things.
I say this in reference to you looking for a way to get texts off a phone. If you allow yourself to get trapped in that mindset it will send you on a downward spiral. Feed the positive and do not get caught in figuring out what happened in the past. Leave the past where it is, behind you, and focus on right now.
This may be easier said than done but it is simple. Simple isn’t always easy though. Being that you will have to deal with the legal side of things and the emotional effect this has on your kids, you need to be sharp and focused. That means there is no room for negativity. It will become easier to do once you practice for a little while.
One great thing you posted is that you are working out to get your mind off it. That is fantastic.
I could write for hours but won’t. Lastly, keep the majority of your attention in the moment. Like you’re in a Yoga class and the teacher is asking everyone to focus on their breathing. That is a way of practicing to be in the moment. Pain, fear, anxiety and all those nasty feelings can not exist when you are in the moment. It is just not possible.
On that note, I hope you feel a little better today than you did yesterday.
