Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I suspect your ex is something of a narcissist. Narcissists crave attention - any kind of attention. Good or bad. They have to be the center of every situation. In any case, you aren't going to get through to her or convince her that all you want to do is deal with the kids, or that you've long since stopped being mad about her. You just won't. Perhaps with a significant amount of therapy, but who wants to go to therapy with their ex wife? That's like paying for a dead horse.
Do you have to actually TALK to your ex? What if you tried to limit your contact with her to emails/text messages?
All you can control is what goes on at your house. I would suggest documenting the times the kids are with you and each time she wants you to come get them. You may be able to get primary custody if that's something you want. Sounds like it might be a more stable environment for your kids.
Good luck!
(sorry, that is what i deal with)
anyway, you can't co-parent with a self centered person, you can't really have a marriage with one either as the world is just in orbit around them
Regardless, keep being the man and father that you are(and you are a principled man and caring father) if your ex ever wises up great if not you can't waste energy on her,
your daughters need you being you, not you losing a bit of yourself trying to bolster their mom
You are the parenting team
