Day 3, already he's violated settlement agreement.

No suprise that the long drawn out divorce is leading to a drawn out post-divorce. We had it put into the marital settlement agreement that by tonight he would have written down the stuff from the house that he is going to take. Initially he's moving to his moms, and we all agreed in the last meeting with the lawyers that he could store what he wasn't immediately taking here. I need to know what I'll need to replace. Certainly this isn't asking much. Oh, but for him - it is. I even printed out a spreadsheet where he could list what he wants from each room. I actually started it for the upstairs rooms, listed everything in the rooms, but there's too much to list - it's simpler if he lists what he's taking rather than absolutely everything we own.
I knew he didn't do any of this on his own previously, because he's lazy. Asshole. So tonight I asked if he was ready. Yes he was, he said. We were to walk the house together. I later brought him the sheets that I had partially filled out, all of the sudden, he's not ready. F*ing wonderful. I reminded him it was in the decree, in a snotty manner he said "I knew you were going to say that. Go call your lawyer, then. I'm not married to you anymore, I don't have to do anything." Well, he never ever did what he didn't want to do, so not being married is no different than when we were married. I wanted to just walk away but I turned momentarily immature and muttered "I just can't wait until next Saturday, it'll be the best day for me in years, aside from this past Tuesday". Tuesday we got divorced, next Saturday is the day he's supposed to move out. In the decree. Which apparently means little. I'm fairly certain by tomorrow he'll be more agreeable, but to have to manage him like a baby is so irritating. And to put up with his crap, still, just because I'm financially tied to him and that new house, it's nearly unbearable at times. If I could buy him out of this old house, I'd do it in a heartbeat and be just fine with throwing his stuff into the shed, changing the locks, and moving on in peace. Selling that new house is paramount to minimizing contact.
To that end, he's jeapordizing the sale of the new house. A couple is very interested. I happened to be there when they were looking at it and spoke with them. The husband wants to talk to ex (the GC) about making some changes in the garage, so I gave him his number. Ex is promising to give this couple an estimate of what it woud cost to make the changes and it's just ridiculous. Ex wants to become the GC for this family and manage the changes. Before they even buy. It's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. We're stuck financially until we sell the house, and ex is STILL trying to delay the sale and maintain control over his f*ing dream house. I fear that this couple will run for the hills when they realize that he is just full of crap and excuses. Luckily, I got notice tonight that there's another showing for it tomorrow for another family.
I just want peace. Just want to never see his stupid face again. Want it all the way over with.
What do I do if he doesn't move out on May 20th? The personal affects I can deal with. If he doesn't move out, what do I do?
What do I do if he doesn't follow through with the paperwork needed to set up alimony and child support payments through the probabion department?
We also have agreed (not my idea) to paying 50/50 for all expenses related to selling the house. He swears up and down that he doesn't have the money (like 5G) but he could get it "somehow" and I'm not supposed to spend anything till he can show proof to me (as in the way of a check) that he can meet the expenses 50/50. This is so messsed up - I can see this putting the sale of the house on hold indefinately, because he won't have the money. This was the last issue of the settlement, and it took an entire day to come up with this solution. Blech.
I'm not borrowing trouble here, I'm anticipating what can very likely happen with this immature person.
I had to spend another $4000 this Monday and Tuesday settling the divorce. It's cost me $40,000. I can't spend any more money. AARRRRRGGGHHHH!
It sounds like he's angry about the divorce, so he's being difficult just for the sake of being difficult, and that is infuriating to deal with. I'm sorry.
what i needed after cleaning all My junk out of the
home so i did not need To return. I left the house
intact and workable. I gathered and borrowed what
i still needed for my Apartment.
Maybe he can come back when he gets an apartment
I would not worry about it myself Just get him out and
over to his mothers. When my ex Lived at his mothers
he only took some clothes. Your ex might live there
forever.
My alimony comes in the mail like clockwork. We had
No additional paperwork needed.
I hope and pray for your sake there is a quick sale of
The house. He is very bonded to it and immature not
A good combo and your ex's lawyer wants his money
Too which should help legally motivate him to sell.
Vent away i know you are frustrated and want him gone
From your life. Its much easier if you don't need to see
Him to cope with the transitioning. My ex and i are not
done Yet and i have had no contact except thru the mail
and if Needed thru the lawyers. HUGS
Luckily I have the paperwork for the courts to set up weekly withdrawals from his pay for alimony and child support. I'm bringing that to the courthouse on Monday. I don't even have a case number yet, but I will soon. He should start those payments on 5/21/17. He'll blow that off it he can, then I'll sit back and hopefully watch the courts do their thing. He of course didn't want the mandatory withdrawals but his lawyer said it wasn't his choice. Ha ha.
When people asked me if I'd be celebrating the day of the divorce, I said no. I'll celebrate when that house sells and the financial mess is cleaned up. That's when I can relax and really have peace.
Thanks for reminding me not to stress the small stuff.
Real concern for him. It was the last thing on my mind
to play any games. Just like his list he probably Spent
hours on it figuring who got what.
I just ignored it and did my own Thing if you have
another house to fill most people would not do it
The way i did. He got all his possessions and debt.
I only had an aprtmnent and no children and did
Not want or need much. I have many borrowed or
Given items. I took 1/2 the kitchen stuff and whatever
Else meant something to me personally and was
Mine nothing else.
Its a crazy time and you are the sane rational mature
one. Say your prayers it all comes together and he Keeps
his immature nose clean and does what he is suppose
To do. I think my XMIL kept my ex in check more than
I know. He can be a hot head if not getting his own way.
He hates my guts and thats okay not my problem, HUGS
