I was looking through a folder with pics and videos of my cat (lame, I know)
He was killed a few years ago by some boy racer. With my ex he was like our kid so I still miss that furry little fool (mostly the cat)
But while looking I clicked on a video of us giving him treats. Now I have not seen my ex's face nor heard his voice in almost a year. To see his face and hear him laugh and speak again felt like a stab in the chest.
At a time when I had my little family.

It was just a weird thing to hear his voice after so long.
Gem when I get my own place that isn't student halls I will reward myself with some fuzzy animals :)
Not too long ago I was cleaning up the playlist/music on my phone and was going through recordings. I came across some phone converastions I had with someone I cared about at the time. I didn't realize it, but I guess there is an app on my phone that records phone calls. The contents of the call and the voice took me back to the laughs and convos; such hope at that time.
So, I get it.
I know you want to keep the video of your cat, so the best suggestion I have is to copy that video to a CD and put it out of sight for now. You may be able to come back at a later date and wathc it, but right now, you need it out of sight and mind.
