Also be careful though if she has made clear she doesn't want to be with you respect het wishes and be vety thankfully you have good contact rather than fighting especially if kids are involved.
Anyway your plan is not going to work this way stop it asap before you ruin her trust
You need to ask yourself why sudden change in your view about the relationship (given both party agreed to the divorce), could it be you are feeling lonely and isolated (not really about them but more of your own issue) and/or you are regretting the divorce thinking there is no one better than your ex-partner ?
If you want to get back together realistically, you need to have some deep, sit down conversation with your ex-partner and bring out the issue that caused separation in the first place and express your desire to resolve the issue and get back together as a family and ask her whether she is in the same page as you (have the desire to get back into the relationship with you and willing to put the effort to resolve the issue together).
What you are doing now sounds like waste of time and energy (detouring instead of going straight to the point and looking at the root of the issue) and this could (like other said) only make your ex-partner more confused and even angry at you. Besides, what you are doing now (making simple, light, on the surface conversation) is no different to what you are doing as an ex-partner only difference is she think she is dealing with two different person.
It’s easier to maintain and have fun in light, gliding “only on the surface” relationship and I think she is holding herself in and acting differently (if what you think is true) because she has experienced the relationship in the deeper, more personal level with you and she didn’t like it and it may be her attempt to draw the line and just want to maintain light, easy going relationship with you.
You need to be more serious and realistic in your approach and (before asking her for her point of view on reconciliation) you should deeply reflect whether getting back together (considering all the things you went through with her during the relationship) is what you truly want and have what it takes to play your part in putting time, energy, attention and effort into the relationship.
Once you are certain about what you want, you should approach her and have conversation about it. Ultimately, she needs to have the desire and willing to put the effort in (in the same page as you) for the relationship to work.
Come clean, tell her what you did and why. Let her react however she needs to, and respect her wishes if she asks you to back down and away. And like other posters have alluded to, look deep within yourself and start asking and answering serious questions about yourself and this relationship.
Sorry, you're lying to her.
You already knew that you could love her again.
And you're trying to convince yourself that she can love you again. Sorry, lying isn't going to do it.
Oh and stop dating until you truly get over her.
(((I can talk with my ex husband for 4 hours now. Not that we do it often. It's because we're truly completely OVER each other. We're more like distant relatives that catch up with old friends when we talk. But it's been 10 years.
My ex tried to talk like that early on, and my heart couldn't take it. His could, because he was OVER me.)))
I'm not doing this for fun or to amuse myself. I Truely do love her and always have. I chased her away in the first place and gave her no choice but to divorce against her will. It's been a year and I've changed a lot and what to start over. This is just a way to be close with her again.
Honesty can go a long way. Especially if you're willing to address the issues that the two of you had to begin with.
And stop dating the other girls.
I will cation you not to let this go on too long. Mostly for your own sake. If her heart has moved on, you're going to get crushed badly.
Best of luck, Patti
You said your actions forced her into divorce, I don't kn ow what you did, if you cheated than theres very little hope and you and this fake account will definitely show her you are still a lier, if something else caused her to divorce it all depends what it was, but showing a deceiving side of you this way is not helping your cause, and don't wait till valentine. ask her for dinner with new year good idea and talk. But respect her wishes, she may just see you now as a friend, her love may be gone, accept that if it is.
