I almost can't believe it... but for the first time in months Friday came around and I was actually looking forward to the weekend! Since the breakup, weekends have been filled with anxiety, lost sleep, insistent thoughts about what he might be doing. But not this time (or not yet, anyway). I got drinks last night to celebrate a coworker's last day, managed to sleep in this morning, have various plans with friends and will spend the rest of the time cleaning and doing laundry and relaxing.

This is the calmest I've been in two months, and I want to hold onto it for as long as I can. It's really encouraging to know that I might have more days like this.

I am so very glad to hear this about you! Regardless of where someone is at during this difficult process and or time in our lives, a break or at least a clam in the storm is a very nice thing to get. I'm glad your feeling the way you are, glad you were looking forward to the weekend that we're now in. And yes, being past the 5 month mark I can vouch that yes, there will be some more days like the ones your currently enjoying down the road.

Enjoy, cleaning is good, it helps me a lot, but you keep that damn laundry away from me, I don't like doing that......((jokingly spoken))!

Getting out with others is good and you had a great time.
I figure each day I wake up it's a good day. Regardless of the bs the stbx sends my way.
Each day will get better and enjoy every moment while you can.
