Hello group- My wife filed for divorce Jan. 3rd. I do not want the divorce. We have three children. She filed for a no contest divorce. I have given her everything. I lost my job in August 2010 and have been taking temporary contract jobs, looking for a permanent one. We sold our nice brick home and moved back to the town we both grew up in to live in my deceased mother's home that I have inherited. I have asked her to just hold on until I can find something but she filed while I was away working in another state in Jan. I have asked her to reconsider but she will not even speak of it. I have a pretty solid offer to go to another state and it is supposed to be permanent after six months but I cannot leave my children because we have and incredible emotional bond and love. If I took the job it would be difficult just to see them for two days (weekend) per month because of the distance. I have some possibility of getting a job in this area but maybe not in my field and these jobs pay alot less. I feel like I need to take the job to support them but I know that they do not want me to go and I don't want to go. I have mentioned this to my wife but she simply does not respond. I don't know what to do. I am so confused because I need the job but I can't face leaving my children.

don't let her guilt you too much. wives are honorbound to stand by their men through unemployment periods.
And husbands are honorbound to stand by their women through unemployment periods... and through rough periods full stop.
Man/woman/person--everyone has a duty to their spouse. Unfortunately, too many people don't give a rat's *rse any more... integrity goes out the window and their spouse suffers. :(
I feel really bad for you, and GOD BLESS YOU! My husband called an "emergency hearing", and then, I was kicked out of my home....AWAY FROM MY 2 girls!!!!! I get them sometimes, but that's not enough! I have a good lawyer, however, it's taking too long! It has been since October 14, 2011 (very sad day!) Husband stole my private journal, and he used it against me in court!!!!! He also told lies, because that's just him!
