So My STBX has been leaving my kids alone once she puts them in bed to run out to get food. She is supposidely not gone long, but who knows. I filed for divorce. I fear for my kids. I told her tonight that if I find out she leaves them alone again I am calling the police and CPS.

I think I have a better option. I am considering moving back in to protect my kids. (the kids are 7 and 9 and are precious little girls). The irony is that she wants sole custody because I am a danger to the kids.

I filed. In my motion that was accepted I have rights to my house. She can not prevent me from being there at any time. So I have legal grounds to move back in.

The pain of dealing with a deranged woman doesnt appeal to me. In fact I rather enjoy the peace I have now. But I cant bear the thought of her leaving the kids alone.

Thoughts?

That's tough--you care about your kids and their safety but don't want to move back in with you SBTX. Totally understandable. Have you talked to her about this? Also would you be open to her contacting you when she leaves and you could come over and look after them for that time?

I did as to just tell her that I will call CPS if she leaves them again. I also spoke with my attorney on both the kids safety and moving back in stances. I am in a holding pattern for now.

She was pissed with my telling her that she cant leave the kids alone and is preventing me from selling a motorcycle. Now we are fighting over my dog that she wont care for, and wont let me give to a home that will (family).

Divorce is such an ugly and painful thing to endure. I wonder how people really survive it?
