Met my STBX at the bank for the signing of a QuitClaim Deed. She feels so guilty she is signing over our farm to me. I will say however I built this farm from nothing but rough fields and deserved the lions share but not all. I must admit she is a wonderful person and I'm sorry to lose her but I know ther's something broke and I must not be the one to help. It's like she lost her mind a year ago. I think a lot of it is menapause but who knows.

My step sons (25 and 27) are so mad at her they aren't speaking to her now. I told them they needed to be there for their Mother. they needed to forgive her and help her through this. That she needed them now more than ever. They're coming to see me net weekend.

It's commendable that you speak so highly of your ex. And the fact that you're encouraging your stepchildren to forgive and maintain the lines of communication with their mother speaks volumes about your character and morale.

I agree. If my stbx had even half the decency you've shown here, we probably wouldn't be getting divorced. Do you know if she's still seeing the boyfriend?

Thanks your words of encouragement mean a lot. Being a good father and husband were the most important things in my life. I hurt for my wife. I can see the pain in her eyes but I can't reach her. I told her I would always be here for her, always love her and that I wanted her to be happy even if it wasn't with me.

The pain will subside. It appears you're doing all the right things.

Unfortunately it will take time. I wish we could all just take a "breakup pill" and fast forward to acceptance and happiness but it's impossible.

They do say "better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved". That Adage exists for a reason. Although none of us on this site can see it right now, we all will. You will too. :)

My stepson is 28 I raised him since he was 2..after his mom dumped me for a "family friend" he refuses to talk to her and doesn't..been over 2 years...these kids aren't kids anymore and they'll make up their own mind. Sounds like she's (your stbx) is definitely in an affair fog, luckily she's walking away from the farm, mine walked away from everything too..I kept the house the kids the pets and I'm the sane parent while she's nuts..it all worked out
