Can't sleep again...

My husband has been home from Thanksgiving break for couple days and he has been acting completely normal.  He still does the usual routine of taking kids to school in the morning and picking them up and says he will do that tomorrow.  But he also mentioned about moving to a friend's condo in December so I don't understand how he can pretend like everything is just the same?  He has made no effort to talk to me except about kids.  I sent him a link about discernment counseling and he has not mentioned at all.  So is he just buying time until he can move out?  He has been sleeping on the couch for a very long time but last night he slept on our bed but tonight it appears he is back ok the couch again.  I have no idea what is going on.  I'm still hurt he told me he wants to separate, didn't want me at Thanksgiving at his dad's and on top of that he has not asked once of how I'm doing or what I did for Thanksgiving.  Did I mean that little to him after being married for 10 years!?

I am so sorry. It isa tough process. Hang in there. My husband stayed in the house till we saw an attorney. He was packing and going through everything. Easier now he is out.....but new challenges.

I'm sorry Koko. I understand completely. It's so confusing and painful. What happened to the men we used to know? With my husband, I can't believe how easy it is for him to talk about things that we have to do to separate our lives from each other. After a few minutes discussing with him, I just keep thinking to myself "how can this be what he wants for us?"

Unfortunately in your case and mine, it probably means that they are sincere in caring about us but not being in love with us. God that hurts to type. I hope thats not the case for you, but sadly I know it is for me. Wishing you peace to help you get through this day.

Thank you for your kind words. I've been trying so hard to separate myself emotionally so I don't have to go through the pain again and again. I am planning to talk to a divorce counselor to help me through it since I need to keep it moving and not expect anything.

I know exactly where you are at. You need to start detaching. That's what my therapist told me after I spent countless hours in her office trying to figure out why he did the things he did and what he could mean by this and that. I started reading about detachment and found a great free hypnosis session online for detachment. It really worked too! Now, I couldn't care less what he does unless it directly affects me. Btw, he filed for divorce in May and we are STILL living in the same house! :-(

Omg I don't know if I can have him in the same house for that long. Maybe he is waiting for me to get fed up and kick him out.

Can you send me a link for the hypnosis online and other reading materials for detachment? I've been reading all about it too but I'"M still having difficulty not reading into everything g he does or say... Apparently I'm the only one with any emotions in this marriage and I'm tired....
