so I'm new here- I took 2 years off of dating, loved every minute of not having a broken heart - swore I would never let my heart be broken again. Opened my self up last December thought what's the worse thing can happen, I know how to not let anyone get close enough to hurt me - I won't let them in my home no sex for a long time, and ill date a guy who is not good looking, even fat . I'm a very beautiful sexy smart woman ( really I am ) I did all the above, and after 4 months ( very recently still receiving " thinking of you missing you daily texts " finally invited him to my home

this not attractive fat man just told me he doesn't want to see me anymore!!

How the fuck did this happen my heart is shattered

Sounds like you got it handed to you because he is smart enough to know who he is and that you weren't interested in him in the way he wants someone to be so he made a choice for himself to not invest any more time in something that was going no where. I don't think on his part it's a mind game he was just able to see that you weren't for him. You think because of your looks that you can't be dumped. Maybe he just didn't want somebody to look down on him because of the way he looked. Sounds to me like you could have had a decent guy that treated you good and you blew it

I respectfully disagree because no man goes from texting everyday to finally getting by the wall to go cold. Whether a mind game before or after the game is still on. No man will forget that quickly why they are attracted to you in the first place. Interest does not disappear. It maybe set aside but it does not disappear. As for you losing out, I would have to disagree. If he went through all that for you to open up and then he walks away then that’s not a man who knows what he wants for sure. You didn’t lose anything but time. He knew you story. He knew your past. He knew your thoughts and conversation. And he understand how his choice impacts you. As for looking down on him. You were with him. At that point you are seeing eye to eye.

Ah, lots of "insight" here, but why are people giving this fat not-attractive guy so much credit for being self-aware? He very likely has an oversized ego to go with his oversized waistline. It's been 4 months, the infatuation phase is over, time to get serious. Maybe you're not compatible, maybe he's scared to get HIS heart broken, who knows? I see too often we women blame ourselves for men's bad behaviors. He'll probably be back when he realizes he cannot do better, but meanwhile, do not simmer on the back burner for him, block his number and enjoy being single again.

Thank you for being brave and sharing. I, obviously, don't know all the details of the relationship, but did you actually care about him? If not, maybe he saw that you weren't really interested in him. The guy has feelings as well. Maybe he was afraid you would break his heart.

I agree with fadedgypsy and rachelangelo.

Why is it that every time a man breaks up with a woman, he is a user, a manipulative, narcissistic jerk, and player and all around douche?

Maybe this "not attractive fat man" realized that the self-described "very beautiful sexy smart woman" he was dating held him is disdain and decided he didn't want to continue a relationship with such a vain creature.
