Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
This goes for some women too believe it or not...ask my ex wife
First of all, you are amazing! You did the best you could to make it work, but as soon as you realized he hadnt changed, you ended it. That takes a lot of strength and courage. (Im having similar revelations about myself and it really is empowering in those moments that I am not curled up in a ball sobbing!) As others have said, youve been through this before so you know what to do. Its heartbreaking, but you know you can get through this. You know this community is great. You know the friends you can count on. You know you are worth more than this.
Next, as you begin to heal, dig deep into why you are attracted to these men, not what is wrong with you. What do these two men have in common? Were you drawn to your second because you were still harboring feelings for your first? Were there warning signs that you missed? Im trying to understand these issues myself, so I know how difficult it can be. It will take time. It may be extremely difficult to look so closely in the mirror and under the microscope but know that it is what you have to do to avoid making the same mistakes.
Hang in there.
