A student in professional school? I am trying so hard to get accepted into a professional school next fall and am torn between leaving my husband of nearly 4.5 years. I would have to work part time and raise a 4 year old (by the time I get in, if I get in) and use student loans. I am scared to death. I really want to leave at this point, but I really want to succeed in furthering my education so I can REALLY make a living for us. Anyone else been here? How bad would it be to stay married for 4 more years, then hit the door upon graduation?

I've made it. It's been a long, hard road, but it can be done. I wouldn't want you to make him think you still love him when you don't, and carry this scenario on for 4 more years. But on the other hand, you have to look out for yourself.

If you really want to leave him, and make it too, you can. Daycares for your son, and school, kindergarten, what, next year? There are day cares open early you can drop him off at, and they, or the school bus will transport him to school, and back to the daycare after school, where you can pick him up after your classes.

You can do it! I'm living proof!

Well, I do still love him. He's just too selfish. We're married and living separate lives and I can't take it anymore. I can't stand being put last - behind his career, friends and hobbies. I feel like I just don't matter and he takes me for granted. I am a nice person and none of my friends can understand why I stay with him. Some of his family can't even understand it. I feel pathetic.

You may love him, but that does not mean he loves you. My STBX and I had stayed together for way too long. Us separating needed to be done. I think we love each other but just not as a couple.

I admire any one who has kids and can make it work. I do not know how it can be done. I am paying off student loans and will for the next several years. It is tough and scary. My best advice is, if you get in, do it as quickly as you can. That means full time-plus. Take as many hours as you can handle without going crazy and do nothing but that and taking care of your child. Look into scholarships, government programs, etc. Many universities have daycare facilities on campus as part of the school of education or child care. Check into it early, as it is very difficult to get into.

You can do it. Don't you think you would feel better doing this on your own? I know for me I am very proud of what I am doing.

I am a full-time mom of two kids ages 7 and 4. I work a full-time job and go to school part-time. I also find time for dating and getting out with friends.

My house is a wreck, I rarely get a good nights sleep but in the end I am doing this on my own. You can do it too.

It can be done. I am going through the divorce process right now. I work full time. I go to school 20 hours a week. I have three sons. It can be done! Believing in yourself is the first step and probably the hardest. You can do it and you will find DS support here! Hugs to you!

It is hard but it can be done I ork two jobs and dont gat any help from the ex and so far I am making it.You can do it you just have to be strong and know what you want
