I knew I deserved better than what I had with my relationship but I never had thr strength to leave even though I wasn't always happy. My future would have been filled with anxiety. But the pain I'm feeling now doesn't seem worth it. His life was filled with recreational coke/acid use and flying at the seat of his pants every day, at 30. I like a stable life. But if I could have accepted his habbits we would have never argued which pushed him away. After 2 years I'm torn. He hurt men bad. He didn't want me anymore because we're too different. Idk if this was worth it. I hatr waking up in the morning.

Sorry for what you're dealing with. Sounds like a good idea for you to go to Al-Anon meetings for support and understanding. They are for people living with Partners who have addictions. It would also be a good idea to go for individual counseling at this time. You're at a critical point where you need to buy a lot of support and healing to go forward with your life.

I have an appointment scheduled in a few days. I just hope this is better for my future. All I feel is pain from losing someone I love right now. I don't think he was addicted. He just found weddings and parties some nights out more enjoyable with coke.

There is no such thing as recreational coke. I know. He's using way more than you know. He's been hiding that from you for a while. Now is the time to get out and stay out. He will only get worst. Believe me I know what I'm talking about. Been there done that.

I know it hurts right now but you have to put yourself first. It sounds like he made his choice on what's important to him. Be strong and listen to your heart. I agree with the other post, it would be a good idea to talk to someone. Good Luck to you and God bless.

Anything that teaches you a life lesson, is worth it. It will probably be the first day of the rest of your life, you won't be here next year hopefully, and you will be all the wiser. I'm 49 I wish I knew back when what I know now, this is how we evolve as a society, you can either look at the bad side, or learn, move on, and make the rest of your life, worthwhile. Pat yourself on the back for learning not to take that shit anymore.

It feels like I'm reading my story :( My ex was into weed and he couldn't find a job after losing the first one for more than a year. I got anxious and stressed and when I finally left him, the pain of loss was immense. I keep thinking if I could just look past his playing games and smoking weed all day doing nothing else, I could've been happy with him....
I really hope you find true happiness. This is so painful. He wasn't right for you. I keep telling myself that no matter how unbelievable it sounds at the moment. I'd do anything to have him back, but I need to learn to let go.
You will find someone better, more loving, more stable. I find it hard to believe that at the moment, but I'm sure you will and I'm sure I will as well...
