Hi all this is my first time on this site I was directed here by a random support service. 3 months ago my wife of 10 years left me for another man and it has absolutely devistated me. We have two children together and thankfully for the most part she has left them with me to care for full time. It helps to have them with me but the heartache is still on the edge of unbearable. I am only able to sleep a couple hours a night and have lost 30 pounds since she left. I don't have any family or friends so I guess here I am to meet people going through the same problems. Misery loves company is what I've been told

My brother... I'm with you. My wife left me after 25 years, and took my kids too. I have my 21 year old son, but he lives on his own now. However, he was living with us at the time my wife mysteriously did not return. She went to the beach with the kids on an invite from a close friend "mom/kids time at the beach... no dads". I didn't think anything of it. In fact I was supportive of it. Only to learn later that it was all planned. Be grateful you have your children. They will be needing your support too since they are wondering why mommy is not there. Be there for them and they will be there for you. For me, I got to see my 3 minor children last Thur. for the first time in 5 weeks via a supervised visit. Yep, wife did a big number on me. See my post from yesterday, which was my very first one as I joined yesterday looking for support. She slapped me with a protective order, had me evicted from my own house by court order... seriously mean and untrue things said about me in her affidavit. All untrue. Crushed my heart to pieces. After reaching a temporary settlement agreement, she's finding her own place to live with the kids, I'm left in a big house all alone and I'm facing a huge financial short fall all while now seriously contemplating selling our house. Life was on a wonderful path, so I thought and now I'm stuck in the Twighlight Zone.

Thank you elssy and that is rough Jules I'm sorry to hear that. I don't think I would have had the strength to cope with this without my kids with me like you have done.

My wife atleast told me it was over to my face without just disappearing even if it was with me holding gifts and flowers since it was our 10th anniversary. I kept her a stay at home mom for the most part so fortunately as far as expenses go I am fairly stable. I have alot of things to be thankful for its just hard to look at it that way with the emotional pain I feel.

I wish you the best though you are a stronger person than I to have made it as far as you have

I totally feel your pain and I'm sorry you're going through this. It's only been 2 weeks for me but I don't sleep and don't want to eat either. I feel like I've got every blessing in the world. But I am so sad I don't even want to get out of bed.

I came here for the support too. It's been helpful to vent. I hope you feel better soon. I know the pain is real.
