I enjoy being alone, that is when you get to focus on your own wants and needs.  Being a parent, you have so many people rely on you and take up all your time and energy.  As your children age, the need you less and less which gives you more time for being alone.  Nurturing the person inside you who has taken a backseat.  I enjoy being alone now that my children are older, I treasure the times to think my own thoughts, do my own things and connect with the person I was before marriage and children.

I never really thought about loneliness until recently, my stbx mentioned how much he has enjoyed dating his new girlfriend.  It hit me like a ton of bricks, loneliness.  How unfair it is that he cheated for the past 6 months and gets to go off with this woman and have a great time.  And here I am at home watching TV, on the computer, with no prospect of going out and having fun.  It isn't fair...that he is the one who brought these other women into our marriage and I was just suppose to be okay with it.  Maybe I did get a little revenge by having my own fling, and maybe this is my punishment.  Because I am beginning to feel like I am being punished for it, when I have had to deal with so much crap he put me through and he wins.  It sucks...and the loneliness is the worse when I sit home at night alone with no one to talk to this about or even talk about nothing.  Loneliness sucks...
