Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

Either way, based on your other posts, he's been using you for 5 yrs and not contributing to the relationship in enough ways or often enough to create a loving healthy union. This isn't a healthy relationship and the fact that he slept with someone else is a HUGE indication that he is a selfish user who doesn't have a clue as to what love is.
He will continue to use you as long as you let him.
For you and your child's sake, please cut ALL contact w/him and consider getting into therapy to help you thru the grieving process and start rebuilding your self-esteem and learn to love YOU and to put you and your child ahead of everyone else.
You and your child deserve better.
By cutting off all contact, you will be getting back everything I mentioned above, especially your sanity and clarity.
Since you know he's been sleeping around, even if all you know about is one person, PLEASE get yourself tested for all std's. Those tests could save your life.
I was scared to, like you. I love my husband and couldn't imagine being alone.
Now that I am alone since October, I have grieved and felt sad and down. But I am beginning to see light peak through the clouds.
I hope this quote from the book The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak will give you courage:
"Fret not on where the road will take you. Instead concentrate on the first step. That's the hardest part. And that's what you are responsible for.
Once you take that step let everything do what it naturally does and the rest will follow.
Don't go with the flow. Be the flow.
Unless you learn to love yourself fully and sincerely there is no way you can find true committed love. "
Love yourself.
Be kind to yourself.
Be your best companion now.
Sending you a hug.
