Awkward again

So husband came home with the kids after spending Thanksgiving with his family.  He didn't even say a word to me and I found out from my son that his brother is staying at our house overnight.  When kids were playing I asked him again if he was having an affair.  He denied and got a little upset talking about how he's been so unhappy because he made so much less money than before we got married.  So now he has an inferiority complex?  I told him I needed to get that kind of raw emotion from him earlier and that I wasn't ready to give up before giving out best try.  He sort of agreed.  But then I took the kids out shopping and he's not home when we got back.  No word on where he went or anything and the kids are asking where he is.  WTH

I get the same kind of treatment from my stbx wife after 18 years of marriage. She seems so at peace with her decision to divorce me and break up our family because we "grew apart" and she doesn't love me anymore. Hang in there. We need to be strong for our kids.

I would do everything if kids were involved i don't like seeing kids grow up with out a mother or a father I hope everything will get better for everyone on here

@ 27depressed ~ Just clarifying - being divorced does not mean that a child grows up with only one parent. Whether two parents exist in the same house or different houses, they both need to step up and be involved in their child's life. What I hate seeing is one parent stepping back and allowing/forcing the other parent to shoulder all of the responsibilities. That's inexcusable.

Yes I get that he needs space and did spent 3 days with them for Thanksgiving but that was his choice. He told me he did not want me joining his family for the holidays. He doesn't need to be around 24-7 but tell me and the kids you're leaving instead of just disappearing. I kept on thinking he wasn't coming back tonight. But then again maybe he had to because his brother is coming here later tonight. - otherwise he would've just stayed out without informing me or the kids. It is so selfish.

How does he not think it's awkward for his brother to be in my house? He's the one who said he didn't want me at his dad's house for Thanksgiving so why would he think it's ok for his brother to stay here? I don't get it. I had to get out of MY house because I felt awkward. Not fair.

Such a double standard on his part. Been there, done that. You deserve better than that. Spouses, or soon to be ex spouses need to not be such walking contradictions. Nothing more frustrating than that. Also not ok for him to disappear like that. I really feel for you , Koko. It'll get better, either with him, or better yet without him.
