Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Your heart will tell you when its time. Or at least that is what I think.
It is hard to think about dating someone when you have to force yourself to do it, that is where I am at this time anyway. My EX wasted no time at all, just like a 20yrs old. Maybe I have to introduce him to you and he could give you some of his dating tips, and what you have to do to move on within 4 monts of being separated, LOL.
You will know when the time is right, I think you have to feel it in your heart. One day when you least expect it you will meet someone that gives you that funny feeling in your stomach, butterflies I guess. Until I can feel something like this I know I am not ready for dating whether he is or not. Right now I think we have to get our hearts in order and our heads on straight.
Take Hun, don't worry about it so much, your time will come if that is what you want.
Hugs
But I digress. Be yourself but also be confident. Chicks dig confidence. But whatever you do, don't reveal your true inner feelings because most guys know that we have no "true inner feelings." The location of the brain where they would normally reside is occupied by NFL statistics.
And not only will you know when Ms. Right comes along, you'll also know when Ms. Right Now comes along, too.
:)
i do not envy you guys. if i had to be the one to ask the other person out i would just buy a bunch of batteries and late night video rentals. you males can be confusing though. sometimes i cant tell if a man is just being friendly or if he is being too friendly.
I think you should try flirting first. Go out with a bunch of guys (or even lady friends) and just practice smiling, talking, flirting, etc. Don't take it all so seriously.
I'm not looking for anyone right now, but was with my best friend in a group and a guy in the group made a concious effort to turn toward me, smile, make eye contact, etc. It took me a moment to realize, "Whoa, I think he's interested in me." I was totally out of practice for what the cues are. Haven't dated in almost 30 years!
So moral of my story, Practice makes perfect.
Good luck.
You never tell a chick your life story. If she asks a question, answer honestly but preserve some air of that mystery. Also, if you are inherently a nice guy (like me) try to act dangerous, sometimes. I used to drive my muscle cars on first dates - not to impress mind you - but to get that heart rate pumping during those high speed parallel parking maneuvers.
BTW: Qapla'! Nice to meet you!
