Man, every time I think my ex has sunk to a new low as a human being - or more importantly as a father that shares children with me - he surprises me and goes that little bit further into horrible. The sheer number of lies he has told, the dragging my name through the mud, the twisting of facts, the manipulation of every situation. I have always tried to respect him, even if I don't like him, and I never say a bad word about him in front of our kids but come ON. This week he called in a false crime report about me and sent the police out here trying to get me arrested. Last month he broke into our house, and then tried to get the custody agreement amended by saying I had insufficient home security because he was able to break in! Everything I say to defend myself is exaggerated, turned around, and used against me.
Sometimes I hear about friends or family who divorced and it was a pretty simple process. It wasn't enjoyable, but they were able to agree on most things and sign some papers and walk away intact to start their new lives within a month or so. I wonder what that must be like. I'm years into this mess. It's seriously the craziest thing I have ever experienced. Maybe except being married to him.
Can anyone else relate? It would be nice to know I'm not the only one.

Some people never let things go. My ex, we split ... almost 7 years ago now... and It was earlier this year, I get an irate Facebook message from her about pictures I have of the dog we had together that I never gave her. I didn't respond. The old married guy she cheated on me with and left me for, then wrote a nasty message. Him I responded to and then blocked. I have never responded to him any time prior when he tried to start with me. I actually haven't been back on Facebook since.
But my ex did the same thing as yours. The only advice I have is to contact authorities when he pulls shit around your place. Make sure to document everything since you are still in litigation. As someone else said, continue to move forward with the proceedings as quickly as possible.
Most of all, make sure to secure your place, yourself and children as he seems like a nut case.
We are almost done with this divorce and I wish it was already over. IT can't happen soon enough!
