The thing that can be confusing is that you are lucid when on it.. you don't seem "drunk" or "out of it". you are normal. but something is blocked in your brain (that is what the drug does).
there were multiple times that i would wake and have no memory of having sex. my partner would be hurt or offended on some level..
didn't mean i didn't enjoy it.. or wasn't real.. but my brain was not at full function and i truly could have no memory.

my break up is hard.. bc sometimes i would msg my ex when on ambien. he grew to understand that chances are i didnt remember.
that doesn't take away from your feelings of being vulnerable and let down.. but hopefully that does explain that it is possible. it happened to me numerous times. (that is why you should only take when in bed, in safe place with someone you trust)
My doctor only gave me 30 days worth with no refill, he said to take it only to break the cycle of no sleep, not intended to be taken every night.
