Nope I'm up....there is no excuse for me. Caffine I suppose. But hell...look on the bright side Heave! At least your job isn't boring! ;-) And you get to take aggression out on the bad guys & get a work out in the process! *high five*

Hi- Heave. I am still awake. My excuse is a long story. I wish I could sleep. I seriously respect your profession. I would be a bad policeperson, tho I thought about going into that profession. There is a police academy here in the hellhole of Iowa. But a few factors are not in my favor. A) I cannot run fast. B) People that behave badly, tend to irritate me, unless they are between the ages of 1-18. C) I am 38, even tho I am still pretty sure I am 24(in my world) . My uncle watches the police shows all day. He thinks I would be great at being a "ladycop", as he says. Maybe. Too bad I am probably to old at this point. Hope you get some sleep at some point. Wish I could.

Never too old. I went through the academy with a 46 year old guy. I trained a 37 year old rookie that is now an investigator and a good friend of mine (she just told me today that she is separated as of today from her husband). I will say that this profession is hell on marriages.

That being said, my marriage wasn't hurt too bad by my hours, my wife changed her personality and became someone who I didn't know anymore. She thinks that she can improve her life through the divorce (that is the title of the book that I found that she was reading).

At this point, I don't give a rats butt about what she thinks and what she is doing. She is going to be lonely and regret this later on when she figures out that guys don't like women who keep 6-12 cats in their house!!! I just tolerated it but I didn't like it. I loved her and put up with it. I passively resisted.

Anyway, the night has now gotten really slow and boring. I want to go to bed. 2 more hours to go! this sucks!

Heave- at this point it is just me. My kids are both deceased, and Mr. Freakin Wonderful just got handed the final decree Friday. Long crappy story. There is much to deal with here. Maybe I should go to the Police Academy. Wonder what it takes. Still like the idea of a tazer. No clue about guns. They probably teach you that at the academy. This could be a seriously interesting chapter in my book. It is called "Getting Elsewhere". Ironic, I was given the title before the content. In more ways than I ever would have imagined. OK less than 2 hours to go.

I am always up at odd hours. Who needs sleep anyway?
