Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I left my husband in August. During the "I'm leaving you talk" He accused me of cheating, (I did not)
He then said that we should share a lawyer to save money.
Not once did he ask me to stay or reconsider.
One month to the day he started dating his gf. One day later, he had sex with her (I have told our mutual friend to spare me the details from now on)
I want nothing to do with my ex and I just want it to be over. That being said, I wanted him to love me enough to try. To fight for me. And he didn't. It made me wish I'd left him 3 years ago.
I think texting or emailing him for now should be okay. I know I still cannot bear the thought of hearing my ex's voice or having to ever see him again. My kids are grown, so I never have to see or hear from him. I haven't contacted my ex for months now, and I still feel the same.
Take care of yourself.
Sounds like the classic pursuit and distancer one chases the other runs. then when the other gets tired of running the other chases.
Seems like both of you are need of some counseling. I would recommend that you just begin to work on yourself. I dont know the entire story and why you felt compelled to leave your husband but I'm sure you have had your valid reasons.
For whether or not you SHOULD be feeling the way you feel. I would self examine what you truly are feeling.. Sometimes it's not just anger and the anger may not necessarily be placed i one person or thing.
